Im Moving to Japan

As of now, I have decided to move to Japan. This way, I won't have to wait for all that anime- manga goodness to legally arrive here to buy. For example, today I just discovered that there are GINTAMA VIDEOGAMES out. In Japan. Compatible with For JPN/Asian systems only. -_-

BUT!! Since I officially declare myself an optimist: I figure that as Gintama popularity grows, they'll eventually make these games available in Canada and the U.S. Just you wait. >:)

Hullo everyone!

the school year has started, as of september the second...but I hope you all remembered that all our mangas and our precious Shonen Jump came out that day too!

The cover for this months JUMP is:



It has a preview for the new manga, NORA, which VOLUME ONE is out OCT. 7. A free Naruto Card (In Awe of Ledgends), a Naruto mask, and, if you have an iTunes account and live in the states, the first episode of Bleach for free. I am so pissed off, cause you have to live in the states to get the free Bleach episode. URGH! CANADIAN FANS! WE MUST REBEL AGAINST THIS CALMANITY! WE MUST GET OUR FREE BLEACH TOOO!

Well, enough of that...for now.

As for NORA: The Last Chronicle of Devildom:

It seems to be a great manga so far. It's about a ignorant, selfish, and cocky dog demon named Nora (the guy with the white hair and crazy eyes above) has sent by his Master The Dark Liege, the boss of his world, the Demon World, to be trained to behave better by a human boy, Kazuma(the guy behind Nora on the cover). Nora is stubborn and roudy, and refuses to go, trying to use his trash talk to save himself fromt his fate. The human in question, Kazuma, is a high school honors student who is uptight and just as cocky and full of it as Nora. The boys personalities clash, and The Dark Liege finds it in her way to get Kazuma to train Nora, as he was unwilling at first. The 60 page preview ends with Kazuma accepting the challenge, and Nora whining about how he was about to go through hell, since Kazuma has control over all his fighting abilty/magical demon powers.


I liked Nora exspecially, thought he was hilarious. They go into chibis like The characters in Tite Kubo's BLEACH do, and the humor is similar. For fans of BLEACH, this is a sure go.


The insults and langauge however, is clearly edited from the Japanese version. The insults used in the english version are much too weak to fit the character descriptions. EG: Nora calls the Drak Liege ugly over and over, when you'd think he'd call her a bitch... maybe? I don't know if that bothers anyone else, just thought I'd put that out there.

GINTAMA 8:

Was just as hilarious as the last 7 books. I won't spoil anything for you guys, but about half the volume was taken up by a continuation of Volume 7, with Kagura and her dad. Another two side stories were added, before we take another look at Sa-chan the Assasin, which most of us forget about her since she only had a short appearence at the end of Gintama volume 5. The end of this one was a cliffhanger, the rest of the storyline will continue in Volume 9, due out this year in November.

The Bleach Popularity Pool results were in the back of Bleach volume 24.

I don't see why everyone hates poor Mello. I like him. He's pretty cool, he's smart. Sure he's rash and he looks like a crazy girl with a choclate addiction, but I think he has good morals underneath all that poor hungry mania. He cared enough to be sad when Matt died right?

And NO, as far as I'm concerned, Matt and Mello are NOT together. They werre best friends, thats ALL! Why do people always have to go all sick minded and assume the worst?? Jeez guys, cleanse your minds. They were clearly best friends!

In celebration of the Gintama Volume 8 that comes out on Tuesday! And provides a reminder that school starts on the same day!!! :@ GRRRR!

In otherwords, its the stuff we all love.

Anime and Manga have become so popular, and are becoming even more so as the generation goes on. To think that it hadn't been recognized as a part of Japanese culture, or even as art evena decade ago, is unreal to most of us, who are almost addicted to the bittersweet storlines and art of our mangas and animes.

The genres and types go on forever, for all different interests and age groups. Everyone can find a graphic novel to their liking, if they know what they are looking for.

Here, we're going to try and cover some of this diverse world, and hopefully convince people into becoming anime freaks themselves.

A bit about US:

The people who are running the blog are Jewels and Sarah. YAY! We hope your not too disappointed with us. We get sidetracked...and fangirlish...so...yeah.

I'm Jewels. This is my OCD, to come clean with you. I can safely say that I am an anime-niac, and most people think I'm weird for it. My top three animes/ mangas are Bleach, Death Note, and Gintama. I've got all the theme songs and music on my iPod. My favourite characters are Ichigo Kurosaki, Gintoki Sakata, L, and Jealous
